We’ve been reading a couple of pages of the issue every evening while we watch the baseball playoffs. Sammy really chuckled at the Conan O’Brien sidebar where he recalls many years ago as having an impression of Williamsburg as a place where people churned butter. Instead, he said the reality was more like a “postapocalyptic crack wasteland.”

I love NYMag, too, and am attending the 40th Anniversary party this Friday night. I believe there are still tickets available – if you and Geoff are interested, you should come with my friend Justin & me!
