We captured a rare moment between Sammy and Lola as they napped side-by-side in the back of the car during a long drive. 

It’s not often you see the two of them snuggling together like this. Most days, these guys are barely tolerant of each other. That’s because Sammy bosses Lola around and acts as her referee. And Lola does her best to ignore him.

But there are moments like this one when they show a curiosity or tenderness for one another. And like when we come home from a run with Lola and Sammy jumps up to greet her with a kiss on the nose. Or when Lola checks in on Sammy after he cries out for no reason. They’re still not the best of friends, but they sure have gotten closer over the past year.
